James Sikking (b. James Barrie Sikking in March 5,1934 in Los Angeles, California, USA) ia an American actor who has starred in several films & has starred in occasionally tv serieses.He is better known for his roll when Lt. Howard Hunter on the 1980s NBC tv series Hill Street Blues,he also starred on the ABC tv series Doogie Howser, M.D. as Doctor David Howser.He also starred on the short lived 1997 CBS drama series Brooklyn South as Capt. Stan Jonas.James did a voice of General Gordon on the short lived 1998 cartoon series Invasion America.

His swell known films range from either The Competition (1980), Outland (1981), Up the Creek (1984), he appeared in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock as Capt. Styles,the captain of the USS Excelsior.James's film career started back within 1955.

James Sikking starred in the 1992 Fox Network critically acclaimed tv movie Doing Time on Maple Drive.

James has mass produced guest appearances in numbers of tv shows,some of people appearances range from either Perry Mason, Rawhide, Bonanza, Hunter,and Batman Beyond.
